If you're like me, you've seen the ads for SheFit in your newsfeed. It follows me around the internet so I figured I'd give it a go.

Watching the videos, it looked like this would be a good bra for doing my HIIT and I thought if it's comfy enough I could wear it for walks and around the house.

I went to their website and did the quiz to determine the best fit for me. Unfortunately, it looks like they use the same sizing as a lot of other brands S, M, L etc but they name them LUXE 1, LUXE 2, etc.

I normally wear a 32H bra size. I am a LUXE 1 in their brand.

I filtered to shop by size and there was only 1 bra in what they determined my size to be that was available. I ordered it and dropped the $74 for the bra plus I wanted faster shipping to be able to review it and that was an additional $7. Was it worth the money? Read on to find out!

It was delivered to my door 3 business days later in a brightly colored, happy-looking package with a quote about taking control. Don't mind if I do. Those of you that know me, know that's not a problem in my life. I love being in control. 🙂

I saved all of the packaging in case I needed to return the bra. As I do a lot of online shopping, it's a habit.

Inside the bag was the bra in a washer bag (nice touch), a guide on how to put the bra on, and a measuring tape. I opened the washer bag and took the bra out. It has a nice and sort of tame, design on it.

I followed their instructions and lo and behold, the bra doesn't fit. Mind you, I used their own measuring guide on their website to get the right fit. My breasts were falling out the bottom of the bra.

Once I got the girls tucked in nice and neat and up to my chin, I was able to cinch the straps down. I did not like the fit at all and I'll show you why in the photos below.

As you can see by the fat at my underarms, this bra is doing nothing but squishing me down and not giving me the support that my breasts need. I am neither locked nor loaded. My cleavage is almost to my neck and there is no gore to rest against my breast bone.

I do like the nice wide band at the bottom though I don't like feeling like my boobs are going to suffocate me. I didn't even attempt a jumping jack for fear the big dogs would fall out of the bottom.

In this photo, you can see my underarms fat (which is really just breast tissue) is spilling over the top of the back, and the band has had to be pulled so tight to keep the girls in the bra "cups" themselves that it's creating unwanted back cleavage. Simply put, this bra does not fit.

In this photo, we see the dreaded uni-boob. This bra has taken my breasts and made them one singular object. My body is just fine the way it is, though I do strive to be healthier every day, however, this bra has serious issues. Because there are no real cups to hold me in, I'm getting the awful look on one giant boob and underarm fat. You can see on the left of this photo that I have a lot of breast tissue that isn't even being supported here.

Now for a proper bra fit

In this (blurry - sorry!) photo, we see that the band fits better so there is no back cleavage, as well as the cups come up high enough on the sides to hold everything in where it belongs.

This is the Panache Women's Underwired sports bra that I absolutely love. I have three of them. One of the things I like the most is that I can make this a racer back if needed by using the J hook that all of these bras come with.

I recommend following these steps to measure your size for any bra:

  1. Measure your band size: While wearing a bra, take a snug measurement around your ribcage in inches, directly under your bust while keeping the tape level all the way around. If the number is odd, round up to the next whole number.
  2. Measure your bust size: Take a loose measurement over the FULLEST part of your bust in inches. Keep the tape level all the way around. Round up to the nearest inch if you get a fraction. (ie, 34.5" would be 35")
  3. Calculate your bra size: Subtract the band size (first measurement) from the bust size (second measurement). See chart below.
  4. Keep in mind that a lot of bras (especially those for larger breasts) are sold in UK sizing.

There is no dreaded underarm fat here. Everything is where it should be. The breasts are two entities (see what I did there?) and not one giant uni-boob and all of the breast tissue is tucked in safely and supported with love. The cups are molded and underwire. The straps are in the right spot and the band is wide and doing its job of support. The gore of the bra is sitting against my breast bone and the girls are lifted and separated. This bra lets me jump rope, do jumping jacks, HIIT, jogging, and kick boxing. The boobs stay in place and I never have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction or a black eye.

When a bra is the RIGHT SIZE, there is no need to adjust it once it's on. And, the band does all of the heavy lifting, so to speak.

When I take this bra off after wearing it all day, I don't have the unsightly ring around my ribcage from a too-tight band, nor do I have the terrible ridges on my shoulders from the straps doing all of the work. I will pop a video down below of me jumping rope so you can see how the girls stay put.

Again, this bra is the Panache underwired sports bra. I recommend this brand to all women, no matter their bra size, but especially for larger breasts.

SHEFIT Return

Since this SHEFIT bra did not fit me and I'm guaranteed that any other bra of theirs won't make me happy based on the fit of this bra and it being the ONLY ONE AVAILABLE in the size they deemed was mine, I am returning the bra for a full refund. I have already printed out the return label and it was easy peasy. I'm irritated that I spent the extra money for shipping, but pleased as punch that I get a full refund on the purchase price. No store credit for me!

Thank goodness I saved that packaging! 😉
